Boaz & Gus: The Heart of Our Farm.
Every farm needs a little character — and Boaz and Gus, our mini donkeys, bring plenty of it. These two gentle souls have quickly become not just part of the farm, but part of the family.
Boaz, the calm and steady leader, is always the first to greet us at the gate with his soulful eyes and patient demeanor. Gus, his playful sidekick, keeps things lively with his curious nature and occasional mischievous streak. Together, they form the perfect duo — balancing each other out while watching over the land.
Mini donkeys can be natural protectors, known for their strong bond with other animals and their instinct to ward off predators. Boaz and Gus bring an undeniable warmth to the farm. Whether they're following us around during chores or braying for attention at feeding time, their presence adds a special rhythm to each day.
These two may be small, but their personalities are larger than life. As we continue our journey into saffron farming, Boaz and Gus remind us that every farm thrives not just on hard work, but on the heart and soul of the animals that call it home.
Follow along as Boaz and Gus leave their hoofprints on our little slice of land — one bray at a time.
Meet Ethel & Lucy: The Sweetheart Girls.
Every farm needs a little charm, and ours comes in the form of two fluffy, lovable Babydoll Southdown sheep — Ethel and Lucy.
These girls are more than just adorable faces. Babydoll sheep are known for their gentle nature, sweet smiles, and incredible ability to naturally maintain the land. Ethel and Lucy are our built-in lawnmowers, happily nibbling away at weeds and keeping the pastures tidy while bringing endless personality to the farm.
From their playful frolics in the pasture to their curious nature whenever we're working nearby, these two have quickly become the heart of our daily routine. Whether they're greeting us at the gate or lounging in the sunshine, Ethel and Lucy remind us to slow down and appreciate the simple joys of farm life.
Follow along as these woolly companions grow alongside our saffron journey — one nibble and smile at a time.
Opie the Clown of the Farm.
Every farm needs a faithful companion, and for us, that’s Opie — our sweet, funny, loyal farm dog who watches over every corner of our little homestead.
Opie is more than just a dog — he's the clown of the farm. Whether he's trailing behind on morning chores, lounging in the sun with his chickens, or keeping a watchful eye on Boaz and Gus, Opie's gentle spirit brings a sense of calm to the daily hustle of farm life.
With his wagging tail and soulful eyes, Opie greets every visitor like an old friend. He's never far from our side, ready to offer quiet company during the hard work or a playful nudge when it's time to take a break.
Opie's presence reminds us why we started this journey — to create a place where life moves at a slower pace and every creature, big or small, has its role to play. He’s not just a part of the farm — he’s part of the family.
Follow along as Opie continues to leave paw prints on our hearts and the land we call home.
Chester King of the House.
Every farm has its hardworking crew, but every home needs a little extra comfort — and that's where Chester comes in. Our inside dog, Chester, may not roam the fields, but he rules the house with charm and plenty of personality.
With his cute eyes and gentle spirit, Chester is the definition of a loyal companion. Whether he's curled up on the couch or following close behind, he's always there to remind us to slow down and enjoy the simple moments. He prefers soft blankets to barn chores, but his warmth and affection are just as essential to farm life as any hard day's work.
Chester's favorite job is making sure everyone feels at home — greeting guests with a wagging tail and always ready for a snuggle. His laid-back nature brings balance to the busyness of farm life, proving that every farm needs a little bit of comfort along with the hard work.
While the fields may belong to the animals, the house is Chester's kingdom — and we're all just blessed to share it with him. Follow along as Chester keeps the cozy side of the farm running, one nap at a time.
